Anna Mitsopoulou

Deep Learning, NLP, Text-to-SQL

I am working as a research associate at Athena Research and Innovation Center, under the supervision of Dr. Georgia Koutrika. My research interest lies on the use of Natural Language Processing and Deep Learning techniques to facilitate access to data stored in databases for users without technical knowledge.

I received my MSc in Data Science from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Big Data. My MSc thesis is titled "Toward more robust text-to-SQL translation". Prior to that, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Informatics and telecommunications from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where I completed my thesis titled "Development of a semi-automatic text annotation tool through controlled vocabulary".

Currently, I am a member of the team working on the design and implementation of the NL search services for the FAIRCORE4EOSC European project.

  • EOSCF Future: An EU-funded H2020 project that is implementing the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).
  • FAIRCORE4EOSC: An EU-funded project that aims to improve the discoverability and interoperability of an increased amount of research outputs in a FAIR manner.
